The dance teachers, Margareta and Leif Virtanen, live in Norberg, Sweden. They lead the Norbergs Folkdansgille and teach the Furudal medal-testing training course. They earned their Big Silver medals in 1989 and a special Gold medal in 2019 for their work to preserve and disseminate Swedish dances.
Riksspelman Greger Brändström is from Sveg, Härjedalen. In his youth he played with the local spelmanslag, where he was exposed to older tradition bearers. In 2024 he won the Lapp-Nilsmedaljen from the Jämtland/Härjedalens Spelmansförbund, honoring his dedication to preserving and spreading folk music from Jämtland and Härjedalen.
Riksspelman Henrik Wikström is one of the most active traditional fiddle players in the Jämtland/Härjedalen region. He developed his love of traditional music when studying at the Malungs Folkhögskola. Henrik teaches and collaborates with notable Härjedalen and Jämtlamd fiddlers.
Anna Abraham is a deeply talented nyckelharpa player from the PNW. She studied for a year at the Eric Sahlström Institute in Sweden, where she developed great skill, and returned to play, compose, and teach nyckelharpa music in the Seattle area.
